When red wine is\u00a0spilled\u00a0on your couch, dilute it with white wine. Seriously! After that, clean the spot with cold water and cover with some table salt. Wait ten minutes, then vacuum up the salt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coffee:<\/strong>\u00a0Blot up a coffee spill immediately. Then mix one teaspoon of mild detergent, one teaspoon of white vinegar, and one glass of warm water. Pour your solution to the stain and let it dry. If you have some in the house, add dry-cleaning fluid, then vacuum gently after the stain is dry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soft<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>drinks<br \/>\n<\/strong>The carbonation in soft drinks will help you clean\u00a0spilled\u00a0drinks\u00a0quickly,\u00a0but act fast because some of the dyes in the drinks can permanently damage your carpet and stain removal will be tough after that. Blot up the\u00a0spilled\u00a0drink. Mix 1 teaspoon mild detergent, 1 teaspoon white vinegar, and\u00a01 quart\u00a0warm water. Apply the solution to the spot. Let the carpet dry. If the spot remains, repeat the procedure. Vacuum gently.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blood:\u00a0<\/strong>As quickly as possible, soak the stain with cold salt water. After a couple of hours, dab (don\u2019t rub) the stain with liquid detergent and then let it dry. Vacuum up and repeat if necessary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alcohol:<\/strong>\u00a0As quickly as you can, dilute the stain with cold water. Absorb the excess liquid with kitchen roll, then mix one teaspoon of mild detergent, one teaspoon white vinegar, and one glass of warm water. Apply your new solution to the stain, and then let it dry.
